This arrangement of Zacharti Lach, sung by our choir, was composed by Louis Lewandowski, Weiland Professor of Music, and Cantor, in Berlin. Published in his Magnum Opus "Todah V'Zimrah" (1876-82).
Etz Chayim- Composed originally by Nissan Blumenthal (1805-1903) Odessa chazan 1840-90,the first "chor-chazan" in Russia. This arrangement is by Cantors David Roitman and Rumshinsky .. David Roitman , Cantor & Chorister (1870-1947) was a famous Chazan in New York and was known as 'the poet of the pulpit'. Joseph Rumshinsky (1885-1956) from Vilna, settled in London as a Chorister, Composer & Conductor with many arrangements for Cantor & Choir to his credit.
'Al Tirah'...a prayer about Divine protection found in the Shabbat Evening Service. This arrangement by Shmuel Alman. Currently it is frequently sung on Erev Shabbat during these difficult times for Eretz Yisrael.
'UNETANEH TOKEF'(11th Century Germany)..part of a trilogy of prayers serving as a final liturgical poem leading up to the kedushah on Rosh Hashana & Yom Kippur.
It comprises 3 sections....Unetaneh Tokef, B'Rosh Hashana,& Ki K'Shimcha.Music scored by Lewandowski(Todah v"Zimrah", Zweiter Teil,no. 187 in F minor). This arrangement by Cantor Lichterman.

'Hineni' is the prayer recited each evening service before we count the Omer. It includes the Beracha for the Omer. This beautiful arrangement is by Alman.
"Kol Nidrei" is one of the chants from a body of tunes known as SKARBOVA or Misinal Tunes (in the Ashkenazi tradition). It means "old or antique" or in Polish-"official".. It has cantillatory motifs of German minnesong origin. Yehuda ben Nachum Gaon ( 8th century CE ) introduced it, sung by the chazan in Sura. Opening word of the second benediction which follows the evening Shema. It is a prayer for protection and peace during the night. The Hebrew prayer 'Hashkiveinu' is part of the evening liturgy recited every day by observant Jews.
