- Aquired Cantorial Diploma from Jew's College London under Cantor Bryll (studied with Late Cantor Johnny Gluck).
- Hebrew Diploma Leeds University. MA from Geneva Theological College.
- 1967 -1975 Cantor/Minister Harrogate Hebrew Congregation.
- 1975-93 Chazan Rishon Beth Hamidrash Hagadol Synagogue, Yorkshire, England.
- Concert appearances all over the world. British TV & Radio appearances.
- Chazan Gardens Shul Since 1995. Musical Director of Synagogue Choir
- He has already been invited by Maestro Bernhard Gueller to sing with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra...a measure of his versatility & stature as a singer.
- He possesses a beautiful lyric tenor voice & has composed many delightful songs regularly heard at our services.
- The choir is proud to have Ian as its musical leader.
